Ronald Sowal, DMD
Dr. Ronald Sowal has been at Susquehanna Dental East for the past 10 years and has been practicing for a total of 20 years. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine. He is a member of the ADA, HADS, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Sowal is married and has a 15 year old son, Ronny. With his family, Dr. Sowal enjoys golf, basketball, football, skiing, and visiting Hersheypark. Serving 22 years with the U.S. Army National Guard, he still serves as a civilian contract dentist for the military.
Harry Weisleder, DMD
Dr. Harry Weisleder is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Dental School. He served 2 years as a captain in the U.S. Army and has been in private practice for the past 40 years.
Dr. Weisleder has four children, six grandchildren, and his hobbies include owning thoroughbred race horses.
James M. Hermann, DDS
Dr. James M. Hermann is a graduate of Villanova and Temple Universities. He graduated Temple School of Dentistry in 1968. He served in the U.S. Army Dental Corp for two years and he has had his own practice in Harrisburg for 43 years. He is a great fan of the outdoors and his interests include bicycling, flat-water kayaking, and hiking.
Carol E. Layton, DMD, MAGD, ND, ALAOMT
Dr. Carol Layton is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She has been with Susquehanna Dental East since December of 2012 and has been dedicated to delivering state-of-the art clinical dentistry for the past 38 years. She believes in caring for the whole patient and not just the teeth. She is a Master in the Academy of General Dentistry, is certified in traditional Naturopath and in nitrous oxide use. She also has accreditation in mercury safe removal, laser dentistry and ozone therapy.
Dr. Joseph A. Search DMD
Dr. Joseph Search was born in Livingston, New Jersey. He grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and is a graduate of Conestoga Valley High School. He received his Bachelor of Science and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh. He earned early acceptance into the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and received his doctorate in 2010. Upon graduation, Dr. Search entered a year long residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Montefiore and received a certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. He has been practicing general dentistry in Selinsgrove, PA for the past four years. He recently moved to the Harrisburg/Hershey area and joined Susquehanna Dental East shortly after. He resides near Linglestown with his wife, Rebecca, and his two children. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, playing music, fishing, and running. He has been a member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Sixth District Dental Society and Central Susquehanna Dental Association.
 
Dr. Layton maintains membership in many professional organizations that support her philosophy and practice goals including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the Holistic Dental Association and the American Association of Women Dentists. She is a Fellow in both the International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentists International.
Dr. Layton's hobbies include photography and gardening both indoors with her 93 year old father. She spends much of her free time with her four children and six grand children.
